Mini Bus From Christmas Tree
The combined Round Tables of Christchurch will present a mini bus to the Hohepa Homes on Saturday. The bus was bought from the proceeds of the Round Tables’ sale of Christmas trees. Last season 2600 trees were cut, transported and sold, said the secretary of the co-ordinating committee, Mr A. Metcalfe, yesterday.*
The Round Tables have sold trees and presented the proceeds to handicapped children for several years, but this was the first where they had put all the proceeds into one donation, said Mr Metcalfe.
