Not Wool-Mind.—But not clear, either. The Avon.—Subject not now open. W. Quigley.—One day next week, we hope. B. Jonathan.—We have no space to discuse vegetarian diets. Sophocles.—The objection is to stock on the hoof, not in trucks. Arthur Lush.—No space to reopen the Manapouri question. Bitten.—We sympathise: but the “war" would be a long and costly one. John Carlton.—Long correspondence on the economy recently closed. Zone I.—Seems to add little to the letter printed on March 22; and the Minister', reply would no doubt be the same. Geoff. Ashton and Warwick J. Burk.—No space for a discussion just now on compulsory military training. Bitten.—Hardly relevant to the subject of the article; and your complaints seem to refer to some years ago. Any discourtesy in the department should be reported to the officer in charge. M. Fenton.—The secretary of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society (Mr J. R. Olaydon) says that the society holds the necessary permits for the transfer and release of the bird*.
