RANGITIKEI WINS POLO
Bangitikei scored in the last 20 seconds of the last chukka to beat MidXanterbury 2-1 in' the final of the Lochlel Cup for open teams when the Amur! Polo Club conducted its annual tournament. The winning RangMikei team was J. G. WMson (captain). T. Kebbeil, J. D. Ormand and A. Smith. Ormand, a student at Uncoln College, was perhaps the best of a very competent team. Results were:— Lochid Cup.—Mid-Canterbury 4, Amur! A 3. RangKikel 6, Ashley A 1. Final: Bangitiked 2, Mid-Canterbury 1. Upper Highfield Plate.—GeraL dine B 4, Ashley B 3; Amur! B 4, Geraldine A 2. Final: Amurl B 4, Geraldine B 2. Amur! Handicap Cup.—Amur! A (handicap 0) 7, Ashley B (s*) s*; Geraldine A (4*) 4*; Ashley A (1) 4. Final: Geraldine A (8*) B*. Amur! A (0) 7. Woopen Spoon.—Ashley A (2) 12. Ashley B (Hi) 11*.
