Auckland Boat Closes Gap
(N.Z. Preu Association) AUCKLAND. The Auckland yacht, Outlaw (D. Lidgard), won the fifth race of the Sanders Cup competition and kept the contest open. The Wellington boat. Charade (H. Poole) had dominated the series in the first four races. Only one race was sailed yesterday. Result: Auckland I, Wellington 2, Wanganui 3, Otago 4, Stewart Island 5. Manawatu S. Over-all points: Wellington, 3793; Auckland, 3492: Otago. 1353; Wanganui, 1344; Manawatu, 1237; Stewart Island, 740.
