GOOD CUP TRIAL
Robin Dundee Wins WZ. Press SYDNEY. The New Zealand pacer, Robin Dundee, ran an outstanding trial for the 10,000 dollar Lord Mayor’s Cup to be run nest week, when she won the Quality Handicap at Harold Fark on Thursday night. Robin Dundee was driven by the Now eZaiand reinsman. D. J. Townley, who taw to Sydney for the race. Robin Dundee quickly overcame her 80-yard handicap and swept on the leaders half-way down the straight. She beat the Tasmanian pacer Halwes by three yards with the New Zealand pacer, Southern Song, a nose away third. Because Robin Dundee was conceding starts up to 36 yards over the short distance, bookmakers gambled against her and she started at 7/1. It was the second time that Robin Dundee and Halwes had clashed. Last January, in Mel. bourne, Halwes beat Robin Dundee but lost the race on a protest As Robin Dundee win meet her cun rivals on similar terms in the Lord Mayor's Cup. she is likely to start a dear.eut favourite.
