(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 24. Six road deaths this Easter were reported tonight. Hit By Car A six-year-old girl died in Hawera this morning as a result of injuries she suffered when she ran in front of a car as she was leaving church with her family on Thursday. She was
Diana Mary van der Poel, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. D. van der Poel, of South road, Hawera. In Collision A woman was killed and two persons injured in a collision on the Desert road, five miles north of Waiouru, at 10.45 p.m. on Thursday. The dead woman was Marilyn Joan Hoare, aged 19, of 50 Cremore street, Palmerston North. Fatally Injured > A woman died in Wanganui
Hospital this afternoon after the car in which she was a passenger collided with another vehicle two miles south of Raetihi about 1.45 p.m. The driver of her car was admitted to the hospital and is in a critical condition. Three Killed Three young men, believed to be from New Plymouth, were killed when their car collided with a heavy truck on the main highway 15 miles south of Hastings at 9 o’clock tonight. The victims had not been identified late tonight.
