Truck Crane Made

The first truck crane to be made in New Zealand, has been tested in prototype and would be put into production immediately by C. W. F. Hamilton and Company, Ltd., a technical representative of the company said this week. The hydraulic crane was designed in the Hamilton office, he said. It would be able to load weights of up to three tons and would lift to a height of more than 20ft. The production of a truck crane in New Zealand should save overseas funds and it was also thought to have an export potential. The crane had hydraulic stabilisers extending beyond the sides of the truck to give added safety and to prevent tipping.
