The latest profit estimate was made after providing for royalty and tax of 3,322,000 dollars, or half of the actual 6,665,000 dollars provided for royalty and tax in 1965-66. Investment income was expected to decline from 2,742,000 to 2,670,000 dollars. Directors said that after appropriating 400,000 dollars for expenditure on plant, the surplus remaining would be about 5.9 m dollars, compared with 6,768,000 in 1965-66. Interim ordinary dividend has been held at 10 per cent, payable June 2.

N.Z. Reserves Improve (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 23. The overseas assets of the New Zealand banking system were £s7m on March 15, compared with £56.5m on March 8 and £55.9m last year. These figures were announced by the Reserve Bank today.
