Labour Dept. Transfers

The district superintendent of the Labour Department in Christchurch (Mr C. D. Macan) leaves soon to take up the post of Chief Inspector of Factories in Wellington. The new district superintendent will be Mr U. M. Devlin, who has been district superintendent in Wellington. The deputy superintendent in Christchurch (Mr A. B. Tuck) has been transferred on promotion, as district superintendent in Wellington. The district officer in Invercargill, (Mr M. J. Michael) who has acted in a large number of Manapouri power project disputes will become deputy superintendent in Christchurch. The district officer in Timaru (Mr I. Montgomery) will be transferred to Invercargill.
