LAP RECORD LIKELY
There seems every prospect that the Ruapuna Park lap record for motor-cycles will be broken during the New Zealand Grand Prix meeting on Sunday. “I will be going a$ fast as humanly possible without falling off,” S. Clarke said yesterday when asked if he would try for the record. The present record-hol-der is the former Isle of Man representative, B. Scobie (Hamilton). The record stands at 51.9 sec, fractionally less than 70 m.p.h.
