Ford Motor Company and Yardney Electric Corporation of New York announced recently they had signed an agreement to participate in energy sources for electric vehicles.

Yardney is the pioneer and a leading manufacturer of rechargeable silver - c a dmium batteries, and of silverzinc batteries based on a concept originated by Professor Henri Andre of Paris. The company also is active in development of new battery systems using zinc-air, nic-kel-zinc and other high-energy power sources.
