Barley To Go Up

The price for malting barley is to be increased. As from next harvest the price for top malting grain is to be raised by 7}d a bushel to 9s 6d a bushel or 95 cents. The rise is equivalent to 7 per cent and is the first adjustment in the barley price since 1953.
