Pirate Radio Fined
(N. Z.P. A. -Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, March 14. Radio Scotland, a pop music “pirate” radio station, was fined £BO yesterday for using a transmitter in territorial waters without a licence. The station, charged as City and County Commercial Radio (Scotland), Ltd., of Glasgow, pleaded guilty to transmitting from a hulk moored in the Firth of Clyde, on September 14 last year. The company pleaded guilty, but claimed that it had transmitted in the “honest belief” that it was outside territorial waters.
