Procedure For New Board The interim board of governors of the Christchurch Technical Institute last evening discussed in private meeting election procedure for the new board to be formed in a few months.

The present board earlier administered the institute and Technical High School. The Technical High School was amalagmated with the Christchurch West High School to form the Hagley High School, which has had a joint board. The institute continued with its existing board. An order in council recently gazetted defines the constitution of the new institute board.

It will have one member appointed by the Christchurch City Council; one appointed by the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects; one appointed by appointed by the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers; four elected by associations of employees; four elected by associations of employers; one appointed by the Canterbury University Council; one appointed by the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce; and four co-opted by the board itself of whom one must be a woman if there is no other woman member.
