Light Aircraft Crashes

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, March 12. Two men walked unscathed from the wreckage of a light aircraft which crashed during a search for a missing Forest Service trainee south of Tikorangi in Taranaki, today.

A Cessna owned by Rural Aviation (1963), Ltd., was trying to land on a farm strip in the hilly country inland from Waitara early this morning when it overshot the runway and plunged into a deep gully. The lost man. Edward John Breach, aged 21, who had been missing in a block of State forest bush since Friday night, was found about three hours after the crash and was able to walk out on his own.
