Mr S. D. Sinclair, an orchardist from the Nelson area, has been appointed deputy chairman of the Apple and Pear Board, succeeding Mr H. R. Sampson, of Christchurch, who was not re-elected to the board by the Fruitgrowers’ Federation when his term expired last November. Mr Sinclair has been a fruitgrowers’ representative for the last nine years.

Mr J. D. Charlton Edgar, Director of the Dunedin Art Gallery will open the annual autumn exhibition of the Canterbury Society of Arts at the Durham street Art Gallery on April 1.
