City, Rangers Semi-final
Last year’s runner-up, Christchurch City, has been drawn against the host club, Rangers, in the semi-finals of the floodlit soccer competition at Rangers Park next Thursday. They will meet in the cur-tain-raiser to the main game, the second semi-final, between New Brighton and Technical, starting at 8.30 p.m. This season’s competition has broken attendance records at Rangers Park, with crowds of more than 500 attending on each of the two evenings set aside for the 'first round matches.
