Discovery By Soviet Women

(N.Z.P-A.-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW, March 8. ' Two women astronomers in Soviet Armenia have discovered a new supernova—an exploding star millions of times brighter than the sun—“lzvestia” said last night. It said that they photographed it last month from Byurakan Observatory, in the Caucasus mountains. The Government newspaper said that the supernova appeared as a giant explosion on the spur of a distant galaxy, but it gave no other details.
