! D. J. Townley’s Plans (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) 1 SYDNEY. The Tinwald trainer, D. J. Townley, will travel to Sydney late this afternoon to drive Robin Dundee in the 5000-dol-lar Invitation Stakes at Harold Park this evening. Townley will return to Christchurch to drive on the first night of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Easter meeting tomorrow. Townley replaces R. M. Cameron as the driver of Robin Dundee, which last Friday won the 15,000 dollars Miracle Mile at Harold Park. Bookmakers are prepared to gamble against Robin Dundee winning the Invitation Stakes. Robin Dundee will be meeting those she beat last week on much worse terms and the track is likely to be heavy after continuous rain. Robin Dundee will start from 36 yards, and is even money favourite in the early market. The Sydney champions, Tongue Twister and Rachael McGregor, will meet Robin Dundee on 24 yards betters terms than last week. Tongue Twister, which was second to Robin Dundee last week, is the 3/1 second favourite in the early market. Rachael McGregor is the only other runner under double figures. Another New Zealand horse I in today’s race is Rocky Star, I which will start off the limit. I
