JACOBITE OUT
Trouble In
Foreleg
Jacobite has been withdrawn from the First Heat of the Easter Cup at Addington Raceway tomorrow evening, but may be able to compete in the second set of heats next week.
Jacobite, which has not raced since April, showed slight filling in a foreleg after he had competed at the Addington trials on Tuesday. His trainer, D. J. Townley, has decided, on veterinary advice, to leave him alone for three or four days to see if the heat in the foreleg subsides.
Jacobite went amiss in a hind leg last April and again last spring. He looked in. great heart when paraded at the trials on Tuesday and high hopes were held that he would stand up to another campaign.
