Lord Fair Impresses

Lord Fair and Sir Athol were two of the most impressive tnalists at Wingatui yesterday when final gallops for the Oamaru Jockey Club's meeting were held under ideal conditions.
These two members of J. S. McKay’s team will make a fresh start at Oamaru on Monday. Lord Fair (B. P. Kennedy) and Sir Athol (G. C. Mee) ran six furlongs in imin 19 3-ssec, the last three furlongs in 40 l-ssec. Over the same ground, Hilarian, Harkaway and Grey Satin were together in Imin 20sec, the last three furlongs in 40 l-ssec.
Glocca Morra (R. Korostchuk) and Flying York (E. J. Didham) were on terms at the end of five furlongs in Imin 6sec. This time was equalled by Limbo (R. N. Marsh).
Royal Rejoicing (G. Mee) worked well alongside Farmers’ Girl (B. P. Kennedy) over half a mile in 53sec, the first furlong in 13sec. Mighty Peak (B. J. Anderton) and Jack’s Bay (J. F. Carvalho) sprinted three furlongs in 38sec.
