GOLFERS SUED

Struck By Ball (N.ZP.A-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. A London solicitor, hit on the head by a golf balL has claimed in an action being brought In the London High Court that he did not have reasonable time to get to safety. Leonard Derrick Freedman, of Stanmore, Middlesex, has issued a writ against Harold Berry, of Highgate, alleging that when the drive was struck, he and others were in positions of danger and had no time to get clear. Berry has entered an appearance to the writ.

The action is one of two being brought by golfers claiming injuries. In the second, to be argued before Mr Justice Hinchcliffe, Sidney George Brewer, of Shirley, Surrey, is suing Mr T. R. Delo, of Shirley, seeking damages for injuries received when struck in the eye by a golf ball at East Croydon in September, 1964. Mr Delo denies liability.

The amount claimed was not included in either writ
