KENYAN TO PREACH

Mission For Maoris Winning the confidence of Maori Christians will be an aim of a Maori Mission at St. John's church, Latimer square, from March 19 to 26. The preacher will be the Rev. J. Kago, from Kenya. A special effort was being made to invite Maoris through visits to hostels in the city, but the mission was for pakehas also, said the Rev. R. Thompson. Mr Kago said the question which should be asked was why the Maori section of the community had been “left so far behind" by the church. Mr Kago will give the main address at each meeting of the mission. They will be at 7 p.m. on both Sunday evenings and at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
