Big Laundry Blaze
(N.Z. Preu Auoctation) INVERCARGILL, March 5. Property and equipment worth £50,000 to £60,000 was destroyed when the premises of the Southland Laundry and Dye Works were gutted by fire on Saturday afternoon. Firemen took only 10 minutes to get the blaxe under control, but it was another 18 hours before it was finally safe for them to leave.
