TO RETIRE SOON
Nine Postal Officials
A chief postmaster, deputychief postmaster, and three postmasters are included in the list of retirements for the Christchurch postal district this month. The Chief Postmaster at Timaru (Mr R. D. Mcßride) will retire on March 31. The Deputy-Chief Postmaster in Christchurch (Mr G. F. Bell) will retire on March 22.
The postmaster at St. Albans (Mr C. R. Williams) will retire next Friday, the postmaster at Hinds (Mr R. T. W. Major) on March 21, and the postmaster at Mayfield (Mr H. E. Denny) on March 31. The supervisor of the Post Office Savings Bank (Mr R. B. W. McCutcheon) will retire on March 23. On March 31 the manager of post office stores (Mr R. B. Ramsay, the supervisor of the engineers’ office (Mr W. Southward), and the senior clerk of the postal branch (Mr L. M. Charman) will retire.
