Foam For Fires
Members of the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board and senior officers of the fire brigade yesterday attended a demonstration of equipment which provides high-expansion foam for fighting fires, particularly in confined places. Representatives
of local authorities concerned about the possibility of fires from electrical faults were also present. The demonstration was given by a fire prevention and alarm firm The equipment was used in a substation fire tn Auckland a few months ago. and the New Zealand Fire Service Council is carrying out tests with it
