Back In Gaol After 5 Days

(N.Z. Tress Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 28. A 21-year-old woman who burgled a house, taking £209, five days after being released from prison after serving her sentence for a previous burglary, was today gaoled for 18 months by Mr A. A. Coates, S.M. The Magistrate told Zelma Dawn Joyce, a packer, that her record for burglary was “unenviable.” She had had Borstal training and a gaol term for previous offences. She was appearing for sentence, having previously admitted two charges of breaking and entering two houses in Te Atatu on January 15 and February 1.
