RACECOURSE INSPECTOR

WELLINGTON. Detective Senior-Sergeant J. M. Fleming, of Wellington, has joined the staff of the New Zealand Racing Conference as a racecourse inspector. Mr Fleming has been crime prevention officer In Wellington for the last two years. He will fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Mr T. W. Allsopp, of Christchurch, but will be stationed at Palmerston North.
Mr K. T. F. Samson, who has had his headquarters at Welllngington for the last six years, will be transferred to Christchurch. He will take up his duties there on April 1. Mr Fleming, originally of Dunedin, joined the police there in May, 1954. He did his training at Lyttelton and was posted to Wellington later the same year.
