Britain would not withdraw from S.E.A.T.O. as a result of troop reductions in South-east Asia, the Prime Minister (Mr Harold Holt) said today. “Britain, I am sure, will be in a position to maintain her role in the South-east Asia Treaty Organisation,’’ Mr Holt told Parliament He was certain Britain would maintain other military commitments undertaken in the region.
