Sherlocks In Fast Run

Sherlocks looked ready to resume racing in the Hatuma Handicap at Woodville on Saturday when he dashed over six furlongs in fast time at Woodville yesterday.
Galloping on the plough, Sherlock, covered the distance in Imin 12 3-ssec, a sprint which drew attention to his fitness.
The plough, which was dry and fast, was used for most semifinals trials, the No. 1 grass, also fast, was open. Sherlocks was partnered by his stahlemate, Fleeting Moment, in his gallop. Ho had Fleeting Moment working hard throughout, covering th, last five in Imin Isec, and the three in Steoc.
Poilo Prince, assisted by Kalkohe, ran in from the half-mile in 49 4-ss«c, recording 36 3-seec for his last three furlongs. Showing steady Improvement, Polo Prince has another chance in Saturday’s Woodville Cup. Final Sail was paired with her stablemate, Harry Lauder,
over three furlonge and they covered the distance in 34 2-5-sec, a smart sprint. Final Sait did her work well and she could be a possibility on that In the Sapling Stakes. Truegent, fast approaching his peak, rounded off work by sprinting half a mile freely in 48sec, the last three furlongs in 35 3-s«ec. He will contest the Borough Handicap in preference to an alternative engagement. His stablemate, Signus, which did pacework, is expected to run In the Oring! High-weight. One of the beat trials on the grass was a smart half-mile by the speedy two-year-old, Patrida, which worked with Aerangi. They covered the distance in 48isec, taking 36 3-ssec for the last three furlongs.
