Two Properties Sold
Offered on account of the estate of Joseph Martin, a cottage comprising three rooms and a kitchen at 15 Dewsbury lane, Sydenham, was sold for £l6OO at public auction on Monday. The auctioneer was Mr K. Simes. The cottage is on a section of 12.9 perches. The land is a deferred industrial site. The Government valuation is £6OO.
The opening bid was £6OO. There were 18 bids of £5O, and four of £25.
A storey and a half roughcast house at 31 Patten street, Avonside, was passed in at £3250. The property was offered on account of the estate of Christina Elizabeth Wilson by Mr N. H. McCrostie.
The house has two livingrooms, two bedrooms, sunroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and laundry. There is also a garage on the section of 24.3 perches. Two flats at 219 Bealey avenue have been sold by private treaty by Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd. The property was passed in at £4200 when offered at auction.
