Pressure Alleged
CN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 25. The chairman of the Committee on Vietnam, Mr B. Mitcalfe, claimed tonight that pressure had been brought to bear on the N.Z.B.C. to play down coverage of demonstrations during the visits of Air Vice-Marshal Ky and President Johnson. The committee, helped by the Christian Pacifist Society and the Anglican Pacifist Fellowship, is preparing a written case with details and evidence of what is claimed to be Government control of news coverage of the visits.
