PUBLIC NOTICES MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER OFFICE AND HOUSING LOAN 1966 Public Notice Is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Malvern County Council held in the Council Chambers, Darfield, on the 20th day of December, 1966, the following resolution was passed and it will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on the 4th day of February, 1967, at 10.15 a.m., at the Council Chambers, Darfield. RESOLUTION “That in pursuance and In exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf by the Counties Act. 1956, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and all other powers thereunto enabling, the Malvern County Council doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order to raise a loan of £26,000 to be known as the Office and Housing Loan, 1966, for the purpose of erecting new office and a worker’s dwelling, subject to the following conditions: 1 That the term for which the said Loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years. 2 That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said Loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and one-half per cent per annum. 3 That the said Loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in Clause 1 hereof. 4 That the payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. 5 That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said Loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent of any amount raised. 6 That ho money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three vears from December 12, 1966. 7 That the security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of .0395 d in the £ upon the Capital Value of all rateable property within the County of' Malvern. 8 That such further conditions of sanction as are stipulated by the Local Authorities Loans Board in its letter dated December 12, 1966, shall be complied with.”

A copy of this Special Order is deposited at the offices of the Malvern County Council, Darfield, and is open to the inspection of the public during office hours until the said 4th day of February, 1967. Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, it is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 5 per cent of the ratepayers in the County so demand, by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution. RESOLUTION In pursuance of the powers vested in it by Section 170 of the Counties Act. 1956, the Malvern County Council, acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors and Inhabitants of the County of Malvern, hereby resolves, by way of Special Order, to sell the following land and improvements thereon, such being no longer required for the original purposes: Lot 45 D.P. 15 Pt. R.S. 4706 Blk. XIII. Oxford Survey District, of i-acre more or less and buildings thereon, being more generally known as Staff House No 8.
