100 Men To Continue A hundred policemen and soldiers will continue the Waimate search for Miss Gillian Margaret Thompson this week. No decision has been made yet on how long the search will continue. During the week-end detectives interviewed more persons in their house-to-house quest for information which might lead them to the girl.
who has been missing since early on January 1. Since completing a fruitless three-day search of the Waimate gorge on Friday, the Army unit from Burnham military camp under Lieutenant G. Bennett has combed roads, creek beds, and vacant land in areas surrounding Waimate. Its base camp has been moved from Victoria Park to the Waimate racecourse where amenities have been made available. Police skin-divers are standing by to search deep water-filled holes as they are found by ground parties.
