N.Z. Junior Swimmers The Christchurch swimmer, Miss Tui Shipston, is the only South Island competitor in the New Zealand junior team to compete in the Australian championships in Sydney on February 5 and 6. The team was announced last evening by the national selectors, Messrs R. Shakespeare, A. J. Donaldson and B. Simpson. It will be managed by Mr D. W. Cain. The team is: Girls S. Game (Auckland), 100 metres and 200 metres breaststroke; D. McCrae (Bay of Plenty), 100 metres and 200 metres breaststroke; T. Shipston (Canterbury), 200 metres and 400 metres individual medley; G. Stirling (Auckland), 100 metres and 200 metres backstroke: K. Vincent (Waikato), springboard diving; S. Whittlestone (Hawke’s Bay-Poverty Bay), 100 metres and 200 metres butterfly.
