Renewed Pressure

(N. Z.P. A. -Reuter—Cop yright) MACAO, Jan. 6. The Macao Government today found itself under new pressure from Peking to implement Communist demands for a ban on all Nationalist Chinese activities, including the flying of the Formosan flag. Kwangtung authorities at the Kungpak border post announced that they would not accept Portugese patacas or exchange them for Chinese dollars. They said that Portuguese persecution of Chinese in Macao had caused a fall in the value of the pataca, which used to be on a par with the Hong Kong dollar.
