MAGISTRATE’S COURT
THURSDAY (Before Messrs L. W. Pepperell and D. H. Hemsley, Justices of the Peace.) REMANDED ■William Robert Woodcock, aged 55, a wool-store worker (Mr M. J. Glue), was charged that on December 28 he assaulted Elizabeth Ann Jeffs. He was remanded on bail till January 16. James Tuhikarama, aged 27, a sheet-metal worker, appeared on a charge that on December 28 he broke and entered a house at 400 Madras street. He was remanded in custody to today. Lawrence James Cummins, aged 22, a sawmiller, appeared on charges that on December 29 he wilfully damaged to the value of £4, a smoker’s pipe, the property of Barry lan Stanley Kimber, and that he used obscene language within hearing distance of Chester street. On each charge he was remanded on bail till today. Buddy William Brown, aged 18, unemployed, appeared on a charge that on December 21 he broke and entered the premises of United Fisheries, Ltd., in Sandyford street. He was remanded in custody to today.
