AIRWORK N.Z. INTERIM
Profit More Than Halved
Profit of Airwork (N.Z.), Ltd., fell to £3270, compared with £10,200 for the corresponding period last year. Depreciation, up £lOO3 on last year’s £9007, has been taken at the maximum allowable rates on all aircraft, vehicles and equipment, directors say. Turn-over for the six months to September 30 was £160,952, which is lower than last year because of a fall in the number of aircraft imported through licensing restrictions.
Licences have been granted for a greater number of passenger aircraft to be imported in the second six months. The estimated taxation for the period is £1250, compared with £4400 for the corresponding period last year. Interim dividend has been kept steady at 4 per cent on ordinary shares. Last year final was 8 per cent, against 8 per cent plus a bonus 2 per cent in 1965. Interim dividends on both the 6 per cent and the 7f per cent preference shares is 3 per cent.
