Key Stocks Slide On Easier Market
Key stocks slid further on a slightly easier market yesterday. Turn-overs were high and the range of issues was wide. Most price movements were small.
Trading in overseas shares was firm.
Andrews and Beaven, at 42s 4d, Bing Harris, at 6s 7d, New Zealand Insurance at 23s 4d and N.Z. Sea Products at 4s 2d each firmed Id. Rises of 3d were recorded bv Alliance Textiles at 10s and Winstone at 38s 3d.
Canterbury Frozen Meat dropped 3d to 14s 6d, and other shares to shed 3d were Neill, Cropper, N.Z. Newspapers, N.Z. Refining, Prestige, Southland Frozen Meat and Wright, Stephenson.
