Townswomen Entertain
The Riccarton Townswomen’s Guild entertained firends from sister guilds at its annual Christmas party last week. The Dominion vicepresident (Mrs C. Crawford) and the area treasurer (Mrs J. Steinmetz) were special guests.
A display of hand-made toys for needy children in Christchurch was much admired.
Items were presented by Mr and Mrs W. Hamilton, who sang duets accompanied by Mrs E. Cox. Mesdames D. Barnett and K. Blunt, accompanied by Mrs J. Couling, sang selections from “Hello Dolly” and “Show Business.” Mrs Crawford cut the cake.
