SECTIONS SOLD
A section of one rood 0.2 perches, zoned residential B, in Armagh street, adjoining the corner of Barbadoes street, was sold for £4500 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr N. H. McCrostie, who took five bids of £lOO after the opening bid of £4OOO. A hillside block of land of one acre one rood 10.7 perches at the corner of Cashmere road and Happy Home road, Cashmere, was sold for £3350. The sale was held by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd., acting in conjunction with M. B. Cook and Co. The auctioneer was Mr Denys Chapman. The initial bid was £2OOO. There were three bids of £lOO, eight of £5O and 26 of £25. Eighteen sections in Dunns avenue, Pines Beach were passed in at prices ranging from £5OO to £650. The sections were offered on account of Mr H. J. Mclntosh and Son, by Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr W. H. Archdall. A vacant section of 17 perches, zoned commercial B in Victoria street, opposite the Railway Road Services depot, has been sold by private treaty by Ford and Hadfield Ltd. The section was passed in at £13,000 when offered at auction on Tuesday.
