GIFT FROM SCHOOL

Money For Foundation The Ryder-Cheshire Foundation was presented with a cheque for £25 at Shirley Intermediate School yesterday morning, to assist with the maintenance of the Raphael Home in India during December. It was the second donation received from a Christchurch school this week—the Aranui High School gave £2O earlier. The foundation is responsible for maintaining the hospital in December and each year raises and receives about £650 for the purpose. Pupils of the school, in their spare time, held stalls and money-raising contests.. Mr S. J. Parker, the chairman of the foundation, received the money from lan Rule, the school’s Rotary roll of honour pupil for 1966.
