Salisbury Request (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SALISBURY, Dec. 8. The Rhodesian Government yesterday asked the Security Council to give it a hearing at any debate on Britain’s move to impose compulsory economic sanctions against it. The Government said in a message to the United Nations that if Britain’s request was competent, then Rhodesia must be considered as an independent State and entitled to present her case. But if Britain maintained that Rhodesia was not a State and the dispute was domestic, then there was no basis for the imposition of sanctions on herself.
