Grants For Church Halls
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 7.
Details of further assistance to church organisations for church halls for community youth purposes and youth camps were announced today by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Seath).
Forty-three grants totalling £98,886 had been approved since inception of the scheme last March, he said. Details of the grants recently approved are:— Church Halls: St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Invercargill, £2550; St. Paschal’s Catholic Church, Ngatea, £4210; St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Botorua, £1500; Thames Methodist Church, £2065; Parochial District of Orakau, Kihiklhi,
£1645; Newlands Baptist Fellowship, Wellington, £2650. First Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, £5000; Christ the King Catholic Parish Council, Christchurch, £5000; St. Margaret’s Parish Church, Mt. Roskill, £1215; Church of the Nativity, Blenheim, £3230; Richmond Grove Presbyterian Church, Invercargill, £512; St. Timothy’s Presbyterian Church, Titahi Bay, £1200; Carterton Baptist Church, £509; St. John’s Methodist Church, Spreydon, £1782; St. Aidan's Parish, Remuera, £5000; Linwood Methodist Church, £2302; Otautau Presbyterian Church, £2500; Knox Presbyterian Church, Nelson, £763; St. Matthias’s Church, Panmure, £3345; St. Andrew’s-St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Wanganui, £3964; Omapere Methodist Church Trust, Rawene, £758; St. John’s Methodist Church Trust,
