BITING

(N Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Dec. 1. A message for New Zealand Rugby followers has been received at the port of Napier from South Africa. The message was written in pencil on a box of fish fillets unloaded yesterday off the Van Spillenberg. The message reads: “Hey Kiwis, hello. You reckon you are Rugby champs, but you are frightened of the Springboks. You’re yellow. “You bring politics into sport

to safeguard your face. You are frightened to play Rugby outside of New Zealand because you know they play the rules to your (indistinguishable word) advantage. “The Lions can’t be wrong. You play rough and you know very well you can’t get away with it anywhere else than in New Zealand.

“You are yellow, but don’t worry. The Boks will still come.”
