Good Trial By Supa
"Th* Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH.
Supa and Plantation look good Awapuni prospects in the double races at Woodville tomorrow, and both gallopers pleased in their final trials yesterday without over-exerting themselves. Supa ran keenly over seven furlongs on the plough, and Plantation produced a good effort over five with Gymkhana on the course proper. Working on the plough. Supa strode easily over seven furlongs in Imin 35 l-ssec, the last three in 40 3-ssec. She could have done better had she been allowed. Supa has freshened since Napier Park. On the course proper Plantation and Gymkhana were well matched over five furlongs in Imin 5 3-ssec, finishing together over the last three in 39 3-ssec. Plantation looks the better for recent racing. He is well enough to have a winning chance in the McWilliams Wines’ Handicap. Gymkhana is In the same race. He has not raced for some time, but seems fairly forward.
