The former New Zealand Rugby League front row' forward and captain, Mr P. A. Smith, has donated a trophy l that may be at stake when the Canterbury club championship is decided by a grand final next season. The board of control will meet on December 12 to allocate trophies for the revised competition, which will feature a series of finals culminating in the grand final, to find the Canterbury club champion. The gold and silver trophy.
