Child Drowned In Fishpond

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec- 1. A child drowned when she fell into an ornamental fishpond on a property near her home at New Lynn today. She was Deborah Nancarrow, aged 18 months, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Nancarrow, of 28 Hutchinson avenue, New Lynn. An ambulanceman, two doctors and a neighbour tried for an hour to revive the child.

Invitation Accepted. - The Christchurch Civic Trust last night decided to accept an invitation from the regional planning officer (Mr C. B. Millar) to attend a special meeting this month at which the master transportation plan will be explained.
