Child Killed By Shock

A child died from electric shock in the washhouse of his parents’ home at Darfield yesterday. He was

Grant Lewis Condon, aged 3. a son of Mr and Mrs Lewis Hessel Condon, of

Currie street, Darfield. The child apparently plugged an old electric heater into a wall point while his mother was absent from the room for a few minutes, and suffered severe burns.

Dr. D. W. Eason, of Darfieid, was called. He gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and a heart massage, but was unable to revive the child
