Rises Outnumber Falls Three To One
New Zealand shares continued to firm on the Stock Exchanges yesterday as rises outnumbered falls three to one. The overseas list was in balance. Trading was average. , r .„. Good gains were made by Mannings, up Is to 24s and Matakana Milling, Is 3d higher at 17s 9d. Associated British Cables, at 18s 7d, and New Zealand Forest Products, at 21s lid, each rose 4d. Neill, Cropper firmed 6d to 24s 3d. Greers Industries lost Is 3d to 4s 6d, Smith and Brown sold 8d lower at 9s and Lanes shares declined 9d to Bs. Wilson Cement shares were w ell traded.
